   Yeah- I agree.
   What is it with “contemporary automobiles” ?
   Smiles, on the other hand are so varied in shape and context that they do not necessarily ruin a picture.

   Contemporary automobiles are only contemporary for a while. Sock those images away for a decade or two and you’ll have photo gold!

   May I add one more thing to the list. Irritating traffic signs. It’s like if I have to shoot anything on the streets, one of these signs is bound to be obstruct my shot. I find that US is especially bad for photographers in this respect. You take any stretch of a midsize+ city’s street, and it will be choc-a-bloc with all kinds of white/yellow/green and red signs. Downtowns are a nightmare with parking signs added for good measure.
   I am wondering how do you avoid it, in your street photography. Do you always work only at 18-24mm range? Seriously, I’ve been looking at your work for sometime, it always amazes me, that somehow your pictures are all clear of these unwanted elements. How do you get so close to the subjects, and freeze them unawares in most cases?

   You go to any Asian country, and the streets are all yours. None of these signs, and millions of people roaming around as subjects :) I miss that chaos, only now that I have spent some time here.

   Ofcourse, some of these signs(and overhead electric wires) themselves make a good subject, but that is another topic.
